How it works
The clues TikTok reads
A public teardown found TikTok's iOS app reads these clues on your phone. Seen reads the same ones itself, never from TikTok.
Phone state
Battery level, whether it's charging and how bright the screen is.

It can't look inside TikTok
No videos, no likes, no messages. Seen only sees what your phone gives away, and every guess is an estimate.
The clues stay on your phone
Seen will make every guess on your iPhone. The only thing we keep is your waitlist email, see Privacy.
Where it comes from
A public teardown of TikTok's iOS app found which clues its feed requests carry. What your feed does with them is Seen's reading of it, not TikTok's word.
Maker
I saw the teardown and wanted to see it about myself, so I prototyped Seen. It's still early, and some guesses will be off. I post the build on X as I go.

Questions
Can I download it?
Not yet. Seen is a concept: the screens are designed, the readings are simulated, and there is no iOS app yet. Join the waitlist and you get one email when it's out.
Is this an official TikTok app?
No. Seen is made by an independent developer and is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.
Does it read my TikTok account?
No. Seen never logs in to TikTok and can't see your videos, likes or messages. It only uses clues from your own phone.
How accurate is it?
It's a guess, and Seen labels it as one. The clues come from your phone. What TikTok might make of them comes from a public teardown of TikTok's app, not from TikTok.
iPhone only?
iPhone first. The breakdown Seen is based on covers TikTok's iOS app.
